Bocca Nuova on 3 November 2000: evening and night

To our luck, bombs were thrown out only to the S. The geometry of the crater exit prevented material towards us, so we were able to approach the rim of the pits inside the Bocca Nuova.

Note that two vents were active (middle photo: the less active second vent throws out a single bomb).
